Dear Pediatric Rheumatology Fellows, We are pleased to invite you to attend the 1st Paediatric Rheumatology European Society (PReS) Fellow Course in Antalya, Turkey. After an enquiry among all attending European paediatric rheumatology fellows during the 2007 PRES Congress in İstanbul, we found out that there was a great need for an educational course with certain topics of paediatric rheumatology.The Course will encompass several topics and practical sessions with regard to Pediatric Rheumatology education. The proposed program has multiple purposes: - To improve knowledge of future paediatric rheumatologists of Europe with regard to certain topics in which fellows were considered to be less experienced - To improve recognition and management of the life-threatening conditions in the field of paediatric rheumatology - To improve radiological knowledge and ultrasound skills of the future paediatric rheumatologists - To provide competency regarding treatment, follow-up and side effects of biological treatment - To provide hints to statistics, writing a manuscript and publishing an article - To promote mentoring in academic career issues (science, practice, education) - To facilitate international social networking in this limited field of paediatric rheumatology, which will eventually result in a wider European collaboration in science, treatment protocols, exchange programs etc. - To provide the chance of experiencing how to present data to an international crowd with rheumatology knowledge. The number of attendees will be limited to 30 according to the date of application.Only fellows in Paediatric rheumatology are invited and priority will be given to those within their last year of fellowship. ***The deadline for application is 30 January 2009. Confirmation for acceptance will be provided by e-mails. ***PReS will provide a bursary for all attendees and it will include registration and accommodation (excluding flight expenses).
